Today, December 13, we had an unusual birthday party celebration. The uniqueness was in the type of project the girl choose to make. It was a seashell mosaic “Mickey Mouse”. Seashells are a great medium for art, they have natural bright colors, interesting texture and come in different sizes and shapes. The challenge was to assemble different type of shells, organize them and put them together to create a complex shapes. Children demonstrated a great interest learning about shells, mollusk and seashell art. Everybody had a good time creating mosaic from our prepared sets and was able to create their own masterpiece in about one hour. Except Florida and maybe New England, you will not find another place that offer parties and workshops in seashell art.
